Taking on the challenge of creating a sustainable society with "Spirit of Enterprise"

The SDGs are international goals for a sustainable and better world by 2030, adopted at the UN Summit in September 2015. Under the concept of 'No one left behind' on the planet, efforts are being made in all sectors to achieve a sustainable society, and as you are already aware, these efforts have been rapidly accelerating in society in recent years.

Kagoshima University aims to contribute to the local community, Japan and the international community, and to be an enterprising university of which all members, alumni and the local community are proud, as a "glocal education and research center from Southern Kyushu to the world".

Kagoshima University, as a 'center of knowledge' in Southern Kyushu, will continue to make full use of its accumulated achievements in education and research activities, as well as the 'power of knowledge' in various fields generated by its ongoing education and research activities and initiatives, to promote the SDGs and to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
