Background and objectives of activities
The agricultural sector is faced with the challenge of securing labor, and the foreign technical intern trainee system plays an important role. In accepting foreign technical intern trainees, it is important to promote cross-cultural understanding and coexistence with them. However, the actual situation of the technical intern trainees in the local community, the thoughts of those who accept them, and especially issues related to Japanese language education, have not been fully clarified.
Summary of Activities
Conduct questionnaires and interviews with foreign technical intern trainees and JA, which promotes the acceptance of foreign technical intern trainees, as well as with trainees and host companies. We will identify issues facing the technical intern trainees and the local community, and consider means of resolving them. In addition, we will examine methods of presenting the results of the survey (posting on the website, picture books, etc.) and methods of publicizing the survey results for future use.
Expected Benefits
The project will contribute to maintaining a sustainable community by understanding the actual situation of foreign technical intern trainees in the community and promoting local inclusion of these trainees. Through the above surveys and projects, we aim to strengthen partnerships among industry, academia, government, and civil society.
