Background and objectives of activities
School education limits the number of experiments and experiences that children can engage in. Many families cannot enjoy them together because their parents' generation had the same problem. This environment is considered to be one of the reasons for the so-called "shift away from science. In order to solve this problem, we aim to provide opportunities for adults alone or with their children to enjoy scientific experiments and experiences.
Summary of Activities
Participants will experience the fun and wonder of natural science through field observations, simple scientific experiments (rhythm, smell, coloring, egg fertilization, etc.), computer programming, and building robots. The topics range from elementary school to university level, but adults and children can have fun learning together with expert university teachers and students.
Expected Benefits
By gaining knowledge and interest in science, regardless of the environment or field in which adults have studied, they can enhance science education for themselves, their children, and society as a whole, and reevaluate their awareness of nature. As a result, they can contribute in various ways to the achievement of the overall SDGs goals.
