As part of the University's program to promote student volunteer activities, this meeting is intended mainly for new students to hear presentations from volunteer groups on campus on their current activities and problems they face. The purpose of this program is to develop human resources who can contribute to society through volunteer activities as a way of getting involved with the local community and contributing to society, and to help educate and spread awareness of volunteer activities.
Summary of Activities
This event is organized by “Volala,” the student staff of our university's Volunteer Support Center, and is held annually in April, primarily targeting new students. This time, seven volunteer clubs set up booths and introduced their activities using photos and data to students interested in volunteering. Students from freshmen to graduate students listened intently to each group's explanations, asked questions, and created a lively atmosphere at every booth. Additionally, volunteer groups interacted with each other, sharing insights into their respective challenges and operational issues—information not typically accessible—making it a highly productive time.
Expected Benefits
Through the active involvement of students in various volunteer activities, it is expected that students will contribute to the local community and revitalize the local community.
