In November 2007, the University and Kagoshima City concluded a comprehensive partnership agreement with the aim of contributing to mutual development through collaboration and cooperation in the areas of urban development and local economic revitalization in Kagoshima City, and have a variety of collaborative achievements (92 in FY2022), mainly in the fields of human resource development, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and livestock production, and local development and urban planning. The partnership has resulted in a variety of partnerships (92 in FY2022), mainly in the areas of human resource development, agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and livestock, as well as local development and urban planning. As a member of the Kagoshima SDGs Promotion Partners, we will work toward further promotion of the SDGs in Kagoshima City.
Summary of Activities
Kagoshima University, as a "center of knowledge (geographical)" in the South Kyushu and Nansei Islands region, is working to promote the achievement of the SDGs with "all-Kagoshima University" by demonstrating the "power of knowledge" in various fields generated from the results of its education and research activities as well as various ongoing education and research activities and initiatives.
Kagoshima City has recently registered Kagoshima SDGs Promotion Partners, which are businesses and other organizations in Kagoshima City that are working to solve regional issues through the promotion of the SDGs.
