Background and objectives of activities

'Self-advocacy' is also called 'self-advocacy', and refers to the ability to protect oneself. In a society with a diverse population, it is much easier to live life on your own terms if you know your strengths and weaknesses, what you like and want to do, and what you are not good at. However, it is difficult to do everything on your own. If you can develop the ability to say 'Help me! , you may be able to do more things. This Self-Advocacy Education Program (SAP for short) aims to help you develop these skills.

Summary of Activities

With the keywords “self-understanding” and “advocacy skills”, SAP aims to achieve the following five things

Activities that help people understand themselves
Learning to ask for help when you need it

Expected Benefits

By helping people with disabilities to understand themselves and develop the ability to seek support from those around them, we hope to make it possible for them to learn, work and live with reasonable accommodation. At the same time, we are also working to raise awareness so that those around them can understand how to interact with people with disabilities.
