Background and objectives of activities
(1) Expand understanding of the SDGs through the English Workshop for SDGs.
(2) "Glocal Camp" will encourage students to think about the relationship with regional contributions and sister cities such as Perth, Australia.
(3) "Academic English" will encourage students to think about the connection between their research and the SDGs."
Summary of Activities
(1) "English Workshop for SDGs" is held every week, where participants (graduate students, staff, etc.) discuss one SDG in English.
(2) In "Glocal Camp," participating students develop a web page on the SDGs of choice.
(3) In " Academic English," students describe the relationship between their research and the SDGs in English.
Expected Benefits
The SDGs are an important way to assemble thinking about global issues. Students need to understand this important framework in order to approach the SDG goals. The three initiatives above are designed to help students think about how they can participate in achieving the SDG goals.
