Background and objectives of activities
VBL (Venture Business Laboratory) promotes the creation of new businesses and innovations based on research results at universities. VBL supports technology transfer activities based on the characteristics of the technologies handled, an understanding of the managerial and social value of local resources, and an outlook on the business environment and trends of technological change, as well as on the relationship with local government. The program also aims to provide smooth and appropriate support for commercialization, including collaboration with government agencies, utilization of public funds, and business plan development.
Summary of Activities
Under the Project for Commercialization Support, the University lends project rooms, equipment, and other facilities in the Minami-Kyushu and Nansei Islands Region Co-Creation Organization building and other facilities for research seeds and activities that have potential for commercialization by the University's faculty and staff. The project also provides consultation, advice, and other support for commercialization.
