Background and objectives of activities
In order to build a sustainable society, it is important for each and every member of society to understand and utilize "energy" correctly. Through lectures and experiments, this program aims to deepen the understanding of "energy" among teachers involved in primary, secondary, and higher education. By applying the knowledge acquired by the participating teachers in actual science education, we can expect to nurture the next generation of human resources equipped with a broad perspective on energy and the ability to make sound judgments.
Summary of Activities
The class will start by creating an overall image of "energy" for teachers, and then give an overview of the principles of "conventional energy" and "future energy" that we use in our daily lives. Then students will also deepen their understanding through experiments. By applying the knowledge gained in this lecture to school education, students will be encouraged to formulate their own concepts of "energy" at an early stage.
Expected Benefits
By training educators with a wide range of "energy" knowledge, we expect to develop the next generation of educators who can propose to others how to conceive of and access reliable, sustainable, modern energy sources and how to use energy efficiently.
