Background and objectives of activities
Through research and dissemination of information on plants native to Kagoshima Prefecture and surrounding areas, the aim is to contribute to the preservation of the natural environment.
Summary of Activities
Research is being conducted on the classification, distribution, genetics, ecology, and evolution of native plants and invasive alien plants native to Kagoshima Prefecture and surrounding areas.
Expected Benefits
The project will lead to the conservation of the natural environment, especially in preventing the reduction of species diversity and genetic diversity of native wild plants.
