Background and objectives of activities
As the University's policy of “promoting the use of public transportation to help reduce CO2 emissions”, “convenience of travel between campuses” and “contribution to the local community” coincides with the City of Kagoshima's policy of “reducing CO2 emissions etc.” and “improving accessibility and convenience”, we have been working with the City of Kagoshima since October 2017 to provide cycle port sites for the “Kagorin” shared bicycle system operated by the City of Kagoshima.
Summary of Activities
Cycle ports have been set up at two locations, the Korimoto Campus and the Shimoarata Campus, and the share bicycles are being used not only by students and faculty, but also by local residents.

Expected Benefits
We are contributing to the revitalization of the local community and the creation of an environmentally friendly town by promoting the use of public transportation.
