Background and objectives of activities
The scientific documentary "Giant Organisms: Evolutionary Mysteries - Giant Squid Dissection," produced by the Activity Team, was recommended by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and won the Excellence Award in the Education and Liberal Arts category at the 61st National Science and Technology Film Festival.
The purpose of this movie was to arouse children's interest in biology. Therefore, we will introduce this work to high school students by giving lectures at schools, etc., to arouse their interest in science by introducing the wonders of marine life and evolution, and to provide high school girls with information on choosing a science-related career.
Summary of Activities
Held guest lectures at Kokubu High School and Miyakonojo Nishi High School. In addition to showing the films, the program also introduced the activists' path to becoming scientists as role models for the "rikejo" (Female who are pursuing science-related careers).
