活動の背景・目的

Summary of Activities

For local elementary school students, the ecology of river species, including many rare species such as the Ryukyu ayu, which is found only in the rivers of Amami Oshima, will be explained in an easy-to-understand lecture format using slides. After that, the participants will actually enter the river and observe the ayu and other creatures by snorkeling.

Expected Benefits

Biodiversity in the Amami Archipelago can be preserved by everyone, especially the younger generation to come.
