Background and objectives of activities
Using waste effectively and not relying on fossil fuel resources for fuel production is necessary for SDGs No. 7 and 13. We focused on the use of useful microorganisms.
Summary of Activities
Search for microorganisms that decompose waste and other materials to produce gas that can be used as fuel. We have developed a new microsphere technology that enables efficient isolation only for gas, and we are continuing our search mainly in island areas within Kagoshima Prefecture.
Expected Benefits
By producing fuel gas from waste, zero CO2 emissions can be achieved. In addition, the production of fuel gas is not limited to one location or region.
