Installation of vending machines in support of TABLE FOR TWO

Background and objectives of activities
The decision was made to install donated vending machines so that people can contribute to the achievement of the SDGs through their daily activities of purchasing beverages from vending machines.
Summary of Activities
A total of five vending machines supporting "TABLE FOR TWO" have been installed at Kagoshima University's Korimoto, Sakuragaoka, and Shimoarada campuses.
TABLE FOR TWO" is a program run by TABLE FOR TWO International, a non-profit organization, in which school lunches are delivered to developing countries through the organization for every calorie-reduced food purchased in developed countries to prevent obesity and lifestyle-related diseases. The automatic sales machines installed in this project are part of the program.
The new vending machine is a version of this program, in which a portion of the proceeds from the sale of beverages is donated to "TABLE FOR TWO".
Expected Benefits
In addition to contributing to the achievement of the SDGs, it is expected to foster awareness of social issues through the SDGs.
