In order to appropriately manage and conserve river ecosystems, it is necessary to widely spread awareness of biological habitats and diversity, especially among the younger generation who will be responsible for the future.
Summary of Activities
Slide presentations will be given to local elementary school students on the ecology of aquatic organisms, including the Japanese eel and other endangered species that live in the Oya River. Afterwards, participants will actually enter the river to observe aquatic organisms.
Expected Benefits
We will all be able to conserve the biodiversity of rivers, especially the younger generations to come.
