Background and objectives of activities
The aim of this event is to introduce the research that our university has carried out in collaboration with local governments and companies in the Amami Islands, as well as our efforts to solve local issues and develop education and human resources, and to discuss regional revitalization in the Amami Islands with local stakeholders.
Summary of Activities
The event was held in Amami City on October 11th (Fri) and 12th (Sat), 2024, and a total of 154 people attended in person, including members of the general public, local government, businesses, schools, and organizations, as well as high school students, and a total of 167 people participated online. There were lectures and panel discussions on the themes of “Promoting academic research and industry-academia-government-finance collaboration in the Amami Islands” and “Developing human resources and education for the future Amami Islands”, and a wide range of questions and comments were received.
