Background and objectives of activities
There have been a number of cases of infection (outbreaks) at medical institutions and social welfare facilities, including new coronavirus infections and drug-resistant bacteria. On remote islands, outbreaks at these facilities have a direct impact on local medical and nursing care services, so it is important to respond to them. For this reason, we provide support for infection control measures at these facilities in the event of an outbreak, based on requests from Kagoshima Prefecture and the relevant public health center.
