活動の背景・目的

Summary of Activities

Undergraduate students will receive financial support from the university from 2022, and from 2025, all students in the nursing course will undertake practical training on islands. In addition, graduate students in midwifery have been undertaking practical training on islands for two years since the course was established in 2014, and by assisting with deliveries on islands, the number of graduates working in the field has increased. Research is also being conducted on a continuous basis to find ways to support local residents and increase the number of medical professionals working in the field, as well as to improve the skills of those already working and provide support. When visiting the islands, we hold workshops for local professionals, with the results of our research being distributed to other islands using remote systems.
