  • SDGs目標04

Background and objectives of activities

Focusing on microorganisms that cause infectious diseases, students deepen their understanding of infectious diseases and microorganisms through hands-on learning in the Microbiology Laboratory within the Basic Medical Sciences field. This fosters scientific curiosity and problem-solving skills. Additionally, it heightens interest in life sciences, healthcare, and environmental fields, equipping students with knowledge applicable to future career choices.

Summary of Activities

Through multifaceted approaches such as molecular biological experiments, observation of pathogenic bacteria, and evaluation of hand sanitizer efficacy, we make microorganisms and pathogens—which exist as a matter of course in our living spaces—visible based on scientific evidence rather than sensory imagination.

Expected Benefits

Through practical microbiology learning in the field of basic medical science, we cultivate scientific literacy, a spirit of inquiry, and problem-solving skills. By providing learning that aids future career choices, we contribute to creating an environment where everyone can access high-quality education.
