Background and objectives of activities
How can sustainable development be achieved by pursuing the 17 goals individually and discretely? The purpose of this session is to consider what the SDGs are and why we are learning about them in the first place, while only the goals tend to stand alone.
Summary of Activities
The workshops will be held using the card game "2030SDGs" to encourage participants to think about why they are learning about the SDGs and what they can learn from the SDGs. The program is implemented as an introductory part of "Multilingual Cultural Theory Exercise I," a class on immigration and education issues, and "Kagoshima de SDGs," a course on SDG initiatives in Kagoshima.
Expected Benefits
Participants can learn about how to tackle global issues and how to think (Systems Thinking, Backcasting, Outside-in) from the principles of the SDGs.
